The Mason Dixon Chapter has invited us (Keystone Chapter) to their three-day event.
Plans are shaping up for our September Tour of St. Mary’s County in Southern Maryland. The Event is scheduled Thursday, September 17, Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19 and September 20. Here’s what we have planned:
THURSDAY, 9/17
- Arrive at Holiday Inn Express (more information below) to be ready for early morning departure on Friday for Cruise.
- Dinner, you will be on your own.
FRIDAY, 9/18
- 8:30a – Meet in Hotel Lobby
- Smith Island Cruise from Point Lookout which would be the whole day (weather permitting).
- Lunch would be on your own on the island.
- The cost is $60 per person.
- Dinner will be on your own
FRIDAY (alternate, if weather is rainy), 9/18
- Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons which offers a shorter boat cruise, which we would charter.
- The museum costs $9 (AARP, senior/military) or $11.
- With 20 people, that would be about $22 per person with the cruise.
- We would have lunch in Solomons on your own.
- Dinner will be on your own.
SATURDAY, 9/19
- 7:30a – Leave Hotel
- Wings & Wheels car show, Pax Museum Flight Line, 22156 Three Notch Road
- 10a-2:30p.We will be parking together BUT you must register ahead of time for the show (fee is $25). You can find the form on this website:

- We are still working on arrangements for the dinner location.
SUNDAY, 9/20
- Cars and Coffee 8am-until whenever will be across the street in the Hobby Lobby lot. Nice way to end the weekend before heading home.
HOTEL
We have reserved a room block at the Holiday Inn Express in California, Maryland (240-237-1444) for a reduced rate. When you call to make reservations, mention Mason-Dixon Falcon Club to get the reduced rate of $134/night (plus tax). Breakfast is included. This price is only good until August 17. Some of us will be staying at the hotel on Thursday so we can be there to leave early on Friday morning.
